International Jazz Day 2013 was filmed in the historic Hagia Irene situated in the courtyard of Istanbul’s Topkapi Palace. The first concert of it’s kind to be held in the 4th century church, Jazz Day featured host UN Goodwill Ambassador Herbie Hancock and UNESCO President Irina Bokova, along with performances by Esperanza Spalding, Robert Glasper, Joss Stone, John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Herbie Hancock, Dianne Reeves and Hugh Masakela.
