The first ever International Jazz Day featured Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, Chaka Khan, Wynton Marsalis, Angelique Kidjo and Tony Bennett performing live in the General Assembly of the United Nations.  Hosted by Robert DeNiro, Morgan Freeman and Michael Douglas, the all-star special featured live performances alongside interviews with jazz luminaries Quincy Jones, Wayne Shorter, Jack DeJohnette and more.   The program streamed live around the world and aired on PBS the following year.
