“The hip stuff,” Herbie tells Trey Anastasio, in a scene from the film, “is outside the comfort zone.” Possibilities”, an intimate documentary about Herbie Hancock’s creative process, follows the legendary pianist over a year and a half as he collaborates with an eclectic mix of superstars including Carlos Santana, Sting, Angelique Kidjo, Annie Lennox, Paul Simon, Christina Aguilera and John Mayer and newcomers Joss Stone, Raul Midon, Damien Rice and Lisa Hannigan.
